Patience Heyl is an Artist and Instructor specializing in Contemporary Realism, Figure, Landscape and Still Life study in painting and drawing. She works in Oil, Watercolor, Pastel, and Charcoal.

Inspired by light and the poetry of nature, Patience captures an essence in her work that speaks louder than paint.

Patience only paints what she loves, which is expressed in her extensive and versatile collection.

Patience is fortunate to have been an artist and instructor all her life.

She has a BFA from the University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse Wisconsin and was an instructor at The Instituto Allende, in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

Paitence was the Resident Artist for 23 years at the famous Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs. Here, she founded Art On Location, serving corporate groups and individuals with instruction in the fine art of Oil and Watercolor painting.

She was the owner of Fine Art Atelier Gallery in Taos New Mexico for 9 years.

Patience’s work has been recognized throughout her career, and has been juried and accepted by Oil Painters of America and The Salmagundi Art Club in New York City,

Versatile in watercolor, oil and more, Patience is included in private collections within the United States, Mexico, and Europe. She is proud to have her paintings hang in The United States Headquarters building at Glen Eyrie in Colorado Springs, CO.

Her works have been selected Best Of Show at The Taos Fall Arts Festival for both 2016 and 2017.
